One day suddenly you switch on your PC and face the problem that you are unable to send mails from your domain which you have hosted with Global Promotions? Don't panic, we are going to help you!
We have created a checklist for you so in case you ever should have this problem you could get back to it. Please follow all the points step by step, then your problem should not be a problem anymore:
Checklist for Email Problems
1. Check your Internet Connection
Sometimes it can happen that you are browsing websites although you are not connected to the Internet anymore. This is because your computer has stored the website's information and is browsing this one now instead.
To check if you are really having Internet connection, please browse a website which you have never visited before or check your router which has to have all lamps working in order to be working.
You are having Internet connection but the Outlook still doesn't want to send mails?
2. Check your Outlook Configurations
First of all you should have a look if your Outlook is configured the way it should be. Also if your emails have been working for long and you have not changed anything, please go through the settings and check if all is correct.
Open your Outlook. Under Tools you will find a submenu with Email Accounts. Choose your email account which is making troubles and click on Properties. Check the following settings. Please also check for any spelling mistakes in your domain name:
User Information
Your Name: User Name
Email Address: user@yourdomainname.com
Server Information
Incoming mail server (POP3): yourdomainname.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): yourdomainname.com
Logon Information:
User name: user@yourdomainname.com
Password: your password
If all of these points are correct, please click on More Settings. Open 'Outgoing Server' and check if ' My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' is ticked. It is not? Please make a tick on it.
Your Outlook is configured correctly but the problem still persists?
3. Check your Webmail
Try to connect to your webmail through www.yourdomainname.com/webmail. Please login with your email address and password. Try to send an email. In case you cannot send, please give us a call.
If the mail is going through, please continue with step 4. Use webmail to send important mails until the problem is solved.
4. Check back with your Internet Provider
Recently some of the Internet providers have changed their settings or blocked the SMTP Port 25. Please contact your Internet provider to check if this is the case and what are the new settings. You probably have to change your Outlook configuration accordingly.
You have done all of the above but the result is still the same: You cannot send mails.
5. Please give us a call
If all above points are not successful, please give us a call under +20 65 344 0685 or +20 12 273 7859 and we will try all our best to help you out.
